about us

We are a small, family run restaurant, serving in the heart of the Edinburgh New Town since 2003, and specialising in carefully sourced Scottish Aberdeen Angus beef, West Coast Mussels and selected seafood, cooked simply but with flair and attention to detail.

Our emphasis has always been on quality and freshness, wherever possible using the best of local produce and locally produced ingredients to maintain top quality and to give you real Scottish food experience.

Alongside our hugely popular char-grilled Aberdeen Angus steaks, we offer an excellent variety of both traditional & seasonally influenced à la carte dishes, local seafood and blackboard specials.

Complementing our well-priced wine selection, we offer a range of Scottish ales, lager & cider, a comprehensive spirit bar, soft drinks and a fine selection of Scotch whiskies.

Our Aberdeen Angus beef steaks are all a minimum of 21 - 35 days matured, premium cut, prepared and hung for us by Scottish master butcher John Gilmour of Tranent, master butchers since 1946.

We are confident that you will enjoy both our excellent food and warm, friendly service, in a relaxed atmosphere!
